Just to give an update, yesterday I've installed the SAF pack based on Hoborg instructions.
I'm satisfied for the moment. DVD playback works. Tested using 3 dvd and only one presented a problem at the beginning play the previews, hit stop started again and it works, and I can live with that.
I don't have the on the fly decoder, but my dvd plays...
Initially I was looking for the ultimate solution without messing around, I know that this codecs are a mess, but I'm looking to get the best results from my htpc.
