The issue in that thread was that no channels were found during the scan. If lanmat is clicking on the channels to preview them, it means he found channels.

The other thread did have the MPC filters posted in it though so you still picked the right thread to link. I was just directing him to the specific post in the thread he needed. Wink

There are also some channels that after a few seconds of video preview the program crashes as well. I haven't found anything really identical to my problem in the forums, but then "crash" brings up a lot of unrelated issues.
If its always certain channels, you might need to temporarily set the mux to 'Full TS', record a minute of one of these channels', the put the resulting .ts file somewhere I can download it (like www.megaupload.com), then I can try reproducing it here.

Looks like it was those filters. Thanks so much!

Well, it looks like things aren't quite peachy keen. Things seemed to work fine for a bit. I have no idea what I changed, but now when I select to view a channel I only see 1/4 of the frame at about 5fps. It looks like unattended recorded video is ok from what I can tell. If I try to change the channel using the "+" or "-", then GB-PVR quits. Sometimes it's a program crash other times just a silent quit.

Seems to me it's still a video problem. Does a standard GBPVR install automatically come with/install the correct encoder/decoder/renderers? How can I check that everything's ok in that arena?

Usually when I see people say that the video has all of a sudden changed, it makes me think they've left their decoder set to 'system default' and have installed/uninstalled/reconfigured some other application which has caused the system default decoders to change.

Looking at your logs I can see you're using 'system default', so there is every likelihood the above is what has happened for you.

Yep, sounds like decoders etc.

No, it doesnt. Its up to the user to supply the decoders. (renderers are supplied by Windows, encoders are supplied by the hardware for analog decoders or broadcaster for digital channels)

GB-PVR doesnt supply any audio/video decoders, since these would cost $$$ to license.
