Can you try a recording and post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log?

(sorry for the slow reply, I'm out of the country and only on the net once a day)

I picked a different channel and it is recording. The screen was still black and I changed the video decoder to another one in the list the ATI one and i have video. I think I am good besides setting up all of my shows. I really appreciate your help.

Well your getting farther than me. I have that card in my new build and cant get the channels to map at all. I run coax from my wall to my set top box and svidio from the set top box to my PC and the digital channel mapping scan doesn't pick up any channels Sad

I might be wrong (I only run analog coax, directly to my cards), but if you are running STB->Capture Card/Pc with a S-Video connection you can only "pick-up" what is broadcast/viewed/tuned in your STB. You won't be able to tune anything at all, you can only get whichever channel is being viewed with the stb, relayed to your pc through s-video, after configuring your capture source to use it's s-video port, instead of the internal tuner.

Also, to for automatic recording, you'll need set up a way for GBPVR to change the tuned channel (by the STB) to the one you desire. An IR blaster is the most common way of doing it...

Have a look at the wiki:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/CaptureSource
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/DefineSource
And a couple of searches through the forums, will also wield lots of information about that

Hope this helps.

Sykor is correct. If you are running svideo from the STB, you need to set up the analog side of the card and use a blaster to change the channel on the STB. For digital, you need to run the coax directly to the card.

Thank you Sykor and whurlston for the information. I have an IR blaster that came with my card. I was following the PDF instructions when i was trying to map my channels. I'll give this a try.
