How do you config the record bitrate for the HDPVR? GBPVR seems to be using a lower bit rate than what I using when recording with TME. I think I would like to raise it a little to improve the recording quality.

My limited understanding is you can't adjust it. It simply passes along the digital stream. I will be corrected if I am wrong.

The HDPVR records analog component video and encodes it on the fly. You can adjust the bitrates in the AnalogHD.ini file located in the GBPVR program folder.

Another duh moment for me. Sorry, I misread and thought this was about the HDHR, not the HDPVR. My (very) bad. Please disregard my post and sorry for the confusion.

The numbers in the AnalogHD.ini folder don't seem to make sense to me:

Bitrate1080i=9000000
BitratePeak1080i=13500000
BitrateMode1080i=VBR

Bitrate720p=9000000
BitratePeak720p=13500000
BitrateMode720p=VBR

Bitrate480i=3000000
BitratePeak480i=5000000
BitrateMode480i=VBR

I thought the range was 0-13500 for cbr not 9mil.
Either way, adjusting these numbers made no difference in my recordings. They are coming in about 3500 according to VideoRedo????????

9000000 = 9Mbps or 9000 Kbps
13500000 = 13.5 Mbps or 13500 Kbps

Been a long time since I even had TME installed but i believe it uses the Kbps value.
