LiveTV not working properly

I installed SAF 4.0 following the instructions on the thread. But still the same problems.

After boot:
Starting up LiveTV on GB-PVR gives no audio, neither on PC neither on PCH.
Close GB-PVR and start MCE: TV and recordings works perfectly.
Close MCE and start up GB-PVR again: TV works perfectly. When recording two channels, 1 goes perfectly, the other one has no audio. Playing in standalone player gives the same result.

Unfortunately the audio being missing from an analog recording is the worst situation to be in, because this all just happens in the device itself, and not something GB-PVR plays any part in. There is unlikely to be any GB-PVR setting that'll have an effect on this. It sounds like some driver problem. All I can suggest is looking for updated versions of the drivers.

But how come that after opening MCE, GB-PVR does give audio on LiveTV? And can it still be a driver issue when MCE does record correctly?

Yes. It just means that driver works ok with the exact steps MCE does, but unfortunately not the steps that GB-PVR. I of course do not know exactly what MCE does, so cant know if there is any significant difference to what GB-PVR does.

It certainly not a common problem though, since stacks of people here have PVR-500's, and I dont remember other reports of this problem. It could just be something quirky in the drivers for the specific variety of PAL used there in Belgium.

Well that's a pitty.

Is there a way to assign a tuner as the first tuner? Bacause it's always the first tuner that gives no audio. The second tuner records correctly.

There are reports all over about the Hauppauge analog tuners having lots of problems with 64 bit Windows O/Ses. My feeling is a lot of people of jumped at 64 bit, by blind faith, you probably need a modern card. I did read on the SageTV forums that the older 1.2 CD might better than new ones.
