Beside the mono audio on the AC3 channel,

No scan results from Config (Win 7)
I have a situation where in Config QAM channel scan returns nothing at all in Windows 7. I can see the QAM signal is pretty strong. I can watch TV from MC v7 and TotalMedia 3.5.

If I import the channels I already have from my XP environment into the gbpvr.db3 file in Windows 7, I can launch gbpvr and tune to different channels to watch TV ok. However, scan from Config always returns nothing at all.

The Config log shows this line repeatedly:

Scanning xx of 90. (Strength: 0. Quality: 0)
"No scan results after startup seconds. Moving on... "

I increased the scan startup seconds in config.xml to like 6 seconds. Still no scan results.

This is perplexing to me. Any clues on the no-signal issue with scan in Config?

Also, although I can still watch TV in Windows 7, gbpvr often does not tune to the right channel for certain channels. Sometimes it'll stay @ the same channel despite I am turning to different channels. Sometimes it seems it's picking up the channel # I last watched from TotalMedia. I wonder if the import using the WizBdaChannelTool doesn't work too well in Windows 7 to update the mySql entries in the db3 file that caused this behavior? Or the problem is somewhere else? It seems the incorrect channel tuning always happens in a certain cluster of channels--some other channels seem to tune fine while others always tune wrong.

Scan issue retry:

I reinstalled GBPVR 1.4.7 on two fresh Windows 7 machines. For hours, both gave no scan results. Then all of a sudden I rescanned again from both machines at the same time (both using Mygica U6012) and here is what I am seeing:

- machine A: starts to scan all the QAM channels ok the first time, ( strength : -10, quality : 100)

However, while the channels look ok, there is only *one* clear QAM channel reported--which is the channel I watched in TotalMedia. All other channels are named 'unknown', which is not true, as from the XP machine gbpvr scanned about a dozen of named channels (the broadcast channels).

- machine B: starts to scan and pick up QAM channels with the first following 'repeated' pattern ( strength : -11, quality : 100):
7.1
7.2
9.1
9.2
...
7.1
7.2
9.1
9.2
...
7.1
7.2
9.1
9.2
...

Both are similar machines and have very similar configuration - same P4 2.8GHz 1GB RAM memory. Same Gbpvr set up as both are using the same Mygica model TV tuner USB stick.

it is interesting that while both machines are scanning machine A scans fine on this occasion while machine B scans with this bizarre pattern (repeated channels #s).

I tend to think that somehow something is not cleared right to do the scan correctly, and it's just picking up the channel I last watched from TotalMedia.
