Hi.

I can't get the playback through n-PVR to scale right. It only displays the mid part of the recording, leaving out significant parts of the edge.

I output through HDMI, and the problem is the same on two very different TV sets.

If I use the menus directly in PCH and play throught native interface, everything is correct.

I have tried changing the Config.xml from 1280,720,0,0 to 1180,680,40,32 like below.

Code:
<MAC-0006DC42D56E>
        <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
        <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>1180</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>680</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>40</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>32</MVPOffsetY>
      </MAC-0006DC42D56E>
That makes the menu smaller than the display, but playback remains superscaled. See attached photos.

I'm on the latest nPVR version 1.5.28. Got a PCH A-100 with latest firmware (aug10).

I'm sorry to have to post, but I've tried just about everything I can think of. :confused:

Attached are the Config.xml and the NMT Syntax checker.

Any advice is appreciated - it's beginning to drive me nuts.

The config.xml setting don't apply to the video playback. Did you try the Zoom button, perhaps you have the default set on the NMT to centre cut? I do see another problem too, the line to load from the mvpmc share is incomplete it should be

<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/PVR:mvpmc/npvr.cgi">N-PVR</a>

Note I haven't tried the latest firmware.

Thanks for the very quick response.

Zoom button <uhm - ahemm>Oh - I never even considered that :o

I didn't know that mvpmc had its own persistent setting different from the device. But it fixed in in an instant. Should hav asked earlier - I've spent hours debugging, reinstalling, different firmware versions and whatnot Rolleyes

I still have to resize the menu. I reset to 1280*720, and in that case small parts are missing.

Regarding the launch line, my share on the PCH is indeed called N-PVR (as I was also on a significant detour until I got that part working), so it actually works.

Thanks Martin - your work to even make this possible is very welcome indeed! Smile

Great glad you got it. mvpmcx2 actually doesn't have it's own settings, it uses the zoom settings from the NMT. Yes NPVR needs to be configured from 1280x720 very few monitors will handle the way the Default skin writes.

You are right about asking though there shouldn't be anything that takes an hour to configure.

Then the PCH must have different interpretations of what it plays natively and what it plays through the nPVR interface. The main PCH interface played unzoomed and it is unaware of the zoom-level in mvpmcx2/nPVR as can be seen from the photos.

Well - it's sorted and I'm happy Big Grin

I ended up with this setting, which seems to fill the screen almost perfectly:
Code:
<MVPWidth>1200</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>675</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>40</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>20</MVPOffsetY>
Just for info if anyone else can use it.
