How do I enable close captions/subtitles?

I have a Happauge WinTV PVR2 USB.
How do I enable close captions/subtitles?
I already tried "Enable DVB subtitles" in Misc and "ctrl-y" while playing live TV, but they don't work.
I'd also like it to be enabled in recordings.

No, whenever I right-click, it brings me back to the main menu.

There isnt really any closed caption support in GBPVR.

You could get it with some devices, if you enabled the 'show closed captions' setting in config app, but only if you were use VMR9 and the Intervideo video decoder, and even then it was permanently enabled with no keys for enabling/disabling it.

Things are slightly better in NPVR, which replaces GBPVR. (which is where the right click pBS mentioned is from)
