No audio in mpg file

I am converting VCR material to mpg. The result plays OK on WMP and NPVR but on the PCH there is no audio. Can anyone see where the problem may be from these specs produced by Quick Media Converter?

I think the problems is the sample rate of 48k. mvpmcx2 doesn't process the mpeg file to determine the audio characteristics and it will assume that mp2 audio is 44.1k in pass through mode. I am not sure how the downmixed audio is processed by the PCH libraries.

If you upload a 20MB sample to megaupload or mediafire, I can check further.

Also if you want to save in PAL format, you might want to consider 25 fps for the video.

I've done another sample at 44.1 K and that works. You were dead right.

The 30fps thing is a bit problematic with the hardware/software I used as the hardware is seen as a webcam and there are only 30fps options available. Bit peculiar seeing as it knows it is to be Pal-B.

At least I know what the sound problem is. Thanks mate.

Lindsay, your download folder worked fine, dropbox is a service I like too. Oddly I do hear sound using HDMI (it does report 44.1) and analog out, so I guess some down sampling is happening somewhere in my system.

Cheers, Martin. I have used 'Super' to recode my video to 44100 sound and all works now.
