ractracker problems

Basic info:
Using zap2it for my listings
Generating recordings using PriorityRecordings.exe and an associated .xml file
running rectracker %1 in postprocessing.bat
running rectracker -purge in postupdateepg.bat

after the show is recorded I get this in a log file I pipe everything into

Each and every Good Eats and X-Men scheduled recording is removed from the list =( any help?

The problem is and you can check it. See if there is a unique description for each episode. If there is not a unique subtitle or description, currently it uses that algorithm. I will modify it on monday (the source is at work) to check the unique id if -zap is passed in.

Hmmm.. The data is very interesting. I need to look at the source to figure out what is happening. I might have brought it home from work. If so I will take a look at it tonight.

The purge seems to be purging the same video multiple times there is at least one bug there.

I will take a look at it and figure out what is happening and add some additional intelligence to it.

The new rectracker with some fixes is available on wiki under RecTracker.

There was a bug that would cause it to remove a show if either title, subtitle, description matched. Which was causing it to delete a pending recording if one other recording was included.

There is also an optional option on purge that will only purge it if the unique ids match. The default is still perfered.

I am interested in trying this, and also a priority based recording. What is the best way to start anew, and can I use rectracker and priority based recordings? I just cleared out all of my reoccurrings and pendings and I am starting over with all of my scheduling. What is the proper thread to read up on all of this?

Yes, you can use CDK Scheduler and RecTracker together. In fact CDK Scheduler uses rectracker for it's duplicate checking logic. The best way to start a new is to download and install XRecordV21. It includes the most current version of CDK Scheduler and RecTracker, plus provides a front end to manage the Priority Recordings. You'll also need a sample PriorityRecordings.xml file to start off with, and you can get that from the CDK Scheduler wiki page.
