3.3.8: app freezes when clicking "Decoders" or "DVD"

If you have any firewall/antivirus software installed, you could try temporarily disabling it, to see if makes any difference. These types of apps intercept API calls, can could be causing issues.

Bingo...I disabled Bitdefender (my antivirus), and the freezes went away immediately. I do see this entry in my log file, but it's benign:
