I am using Kodi 14.1 with NextPVR plugin (cant see a version number on plugin). When I add a timer for a program I see a dialog box asking if I want to record. I click Yes then another dialog opens (I assume it is recording options) but it has 5 blank fields. I am using the Eminence skin but the same behaviour occurs with Black Glass Nova and Amber skins. How can I fix this?

Change the skin to Confluence which is the only supported skin for Timers. There are some hacks explaining how to get them to work on other skins. This was the choice that sub had to make to give people access to more advanced timer control.

ok thanks for that info. I have created myself a bigger problem now! In an attempt to fix the blank fields I selected uninstall on the nextpvr addon and now I cant find how to reinstall. The Kodi PVR repository only lists fake module. I am trying to find how to reinstall the nextpvr addon without reinstalling kodi from scratch

UPDATE: was able to reinstall kodi an just choose to install nextpvr addon and it came back

I'm slowly working through the skins to create custom RecordPrefs.xml files for each that will work with the NextPVR plugin - let me know which skin you wanted to use and I'll see what I can do.

FYI The Titan skin also works with the NextPVR recording dialog. I've been amazed by the support of the developer with that skin (marcelveldt). It is fully integrated with MediaBrowser as well which is giving me everything I need. It is extremely customizable as well. I highly recommend checking it out.

It could still do with a little tidying but this should do the trick.

After unzipping the file, replace the existing RecordPrefs.xml (after backing up of course!) in the "%AppData%\kodi\addons\skin.eminence\1080i" directory (assuming using Windows, substitute appropriate directory if using Linux) and you should now be able to schedule recordings from the EPG.

Thanks so much. I'll try it out when I get home.

It works just fine. That was the one thing that was preventing me sticking with nextpvr. I owe you a beer or a coffee!

I found that the dialog looks OK but selecting anything other than record once gives an error saying back end does not support. But the same thing happens using confluence skin so I think it is a separate issue not related to the fix of the dialog box. I will grab log and create a new thread.
