Can not find TV Listings skin.xml file

I deleted that piece of code in question and now I'm getting 10 rows of channels. However those rows are now sorta in the background with the rest of the screen super-imposed over them. Simply put it looks like the addition of more rows of channels will require rebuilding of a part of the GUI to "make room" for the added space for the additional channel rows. I'm guessing that special "remark" code was to keep that code from being edited or something and screwing up the whole GUI.

I appreciate the help and suggestions everyone. I'll put things back to normal, and will try installing the "TV Listings" plug in which does have a user programmable setting for number of channel rows.

If I knew what I was doing, I could just re-write the whole skin to fit my needs. But then, that's way out of my area of expertise.

I've attached an updated guide.xml that shows more channels. I just bumped up the number of 'visibleChannels', and reduced the size of each element. Doing much more would require moving other elements around to make more space, and/or changing to a smaller font size etc.

Make sure you keep a copy of the file somewhere though, because the file will be overwritten each time you update.

Thanks Sub ... I had just finished installing the TV Listings plugin and did the same thing to that. Changed the font smaller, and added a couple more rows. Got it just right but I am now working with some areas of the displayed screen (primarily the channel header where it shows one of three options for name, number and Icon). This is configurable in the default settings to my liking, but I'm having some difficulty finding how the xml file settings configures that channel header info. I may end up going back to the original setup and using your suggestion above and getting rid of the plugin entirely. Too soon to tell yet as there are new options I have yet to explore. I think we can close this thread. I'll start another one in the TV Listing plugin forum. I appreciate your help .. Rich
