Channel Groups

Apologies for reviving an older thread but i'm having a similar issue as the OP. I believe the OP's issue as well as mine relates to selecting channels when a filter is applied. So sub after following your steps to create a new group, instead of selecting individual channels from the full list apply a filter first (for example any channel with HD in the name). My expectation would be that checking the box in the number column header would select and add all the visible accounts to my new group. While all the accounts do get selected, the group shows as empty if you navigate away and then return. If I randomly select channels with no filter applied the new group is populated with those so the issue seems specifically tied to channels selections when a filter is applied. Hope this makes sense.

Yeah, it looks like you have actively tick the channels you want to be in your new group. You can't use the 'all channels' to tick box for adding everything to your group. This tickbox was never really intended for this purpose - it was really aimed at deleting channels.

Thanks sub, appreciate the quick reply. That's too bad as it would help facilitate the creation of channel groups.

On a related note, I tried your suggestion about manually selecting each channel from the filtered list. Noticed a strange behavior with that as well. As soon as you click a checkbox the filter "resets". The filter box still shows the previous criteria but all channels are now visible.

Were you trying to use the filter to search for channels, them using the 'all channels' to select all the ones that matched the search results?

Are you using the current release? Is your backend server fast or slow?

The update, to add a channel to the group, happens asychronously each time one is clicked. I'm wondering if you're clicking them too quick, and it's reloading the list before some of the updates complete, which makes it look like some are being unticked.

That is correct. I'm using a cablecard and my All channels list contains a mixture of HD and SD. I wanted to create an HD only channel (also what I think the OP was trying to do) and filtering on the text "HD" seems to return what I want.

I just installed NextPVR Friday so believe I'm on the latest release. Version says 5.0.9.201026. If I click the selection box for a single channel and wait the filtered list resets. The channel I selected does get saved, it's the list showing all channels again that's the problem. I've attached another video of what I'm seeing. https://ibb.co/TgNPRgc

Ah, ok - I see what you mean. That hasn't been the way I've been using it. I'll check that out tomorrow. I'm sure I can get it behaving a bit better.
