I usally use a static ip on the wireless cards( the remotes) also prefere to use adhoc over infrastrusture. tend to get a better overall connection speeds. , also the added beifit of increasing the overal range when two or more are connected

I know I *should* be able to see everything over my bridge, but the one thing I want to work most across the bridge, my prismiq, won't. I don't think it's a network configuration problem though (or at least not an easy one)... it's the prismiq. I have no problem with other devices or networking services. Devices on one side of the bridge can access anything and everything on the other side of the bridge. But my prismiq simply cannot find the server if the bridge is between them.

I've spoke with prismiq's tech support several times to no avail. Most were generally useless in advice even though they all did seem to try. I'm not sure how they wrote their networking code, but something about my bridge sure confuses it.

humm , I seemed to run into the problem today with a 1 switch, 1 router, and multiple bridge combination.. I sat there for a couple hours trying to get it to work via windows/linux boxes-- but no go.. I could ping, I could surf, via poxy connection but it just was not working 100%.. but it just was working just hours fine before, I did some modifications/upgrades.. added a couple hardware bridges. and it screwed the whole thing up. -- but solved now.. it turned out to be a cross over wire mixed in with the patch wires.. it completlely messed up my system..even just disconnecting the crossover did not help. the switch router and bridges kept a memory of it. swapped out the wrong wire completely with the correct one and away it went 100% again -instantly.. I thought i was lossing my mind there for awhile. biggest hassel was doing the manual search for the crossover.. I thought I just post this just incase this might be the case for you too

I spent about an hour with Linksys tech support last night and they came to the same conlusion I did, my setup was right and should work, but didn't... so it might be a hardware problem, which would not be my first with Linksys! I'm going to exchange the switch tonight and see if I have any better luck!

It turns out that the reason my two computers couldn't see each other was because I had the 802.1p QOS enabled on my server's NIC (Broadcom). When I added my notebook to the switch it could see the two other machines and they could see it!

My server is a Dell and the notebook is a Dell, so when I compared the adapter settings, I found this setting was differnt... I don't know what that setting is for, but honestly, at this point I don't really care!

Now I have my MediaMVP and the GB-PVR server isolated behind the switch and all's well...
