I have a problem with the redeye remote.

I tried using the redeye.exe utility in my capture sources tab to change channels on my telewest pace machine. Although it changes something, the channel normally ends up as '0' with the menu showing on-screen.

If I use the redeye2.exe command line by hand using command !!120!!!!!!!O to switch to sky one for example, it works. if I use redeye2 in the capture sources tab using !!{channel}!!!!!!!O , it does the same channel 0 (or some other random channel). Additionally, if i use the TV guide to select and watch a channel (which ends up being wrong), when I press 'Home' to get back to the main menu, the entire machine locks up.

Has anyone got this working in the UK with the Telewest Pace 4000 (I think it is)? Has anyone written a better command-line utility?

I have issued the "3~" reliability IrDA command as per instructions - no effect.

cheers,
-Slay

I don't understand why you're sending all the !'s and the O at the end.

IIRC you select ".exe changer plugin" in 'Capture Sources', browse for the executable, then enter "-ch={channel}" in the paramater section and tick both boxes. I set mine up a long time ago (with a PACE 2000 box) and I'm fairly sure that's all I did.

i did try that. i got the same thing as above (random channel, often 0, with menu still showing). i saw the redeye2.exe settings on a sage forum and decided to try that.

needless to say i have tried a few combinations of these. anyone knows *exactly* how those telewest pace boxes work?
