Well the good news is that the Technotrend software works well (I think I prefer it to the Hauppauge software that came with the Nova card!).

Unfortunately GBPVR still doesn't work - same error messages as before. I'd really like to get it up and running soon...starting to remember how much I've come to rely on GBPVR :-)

can you post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files?

Unfortunately there is nothing obvious there. It looks like it goes through the scan correctly, but never never manages to lock onto a signal.

That's the time when it worked. Now whenever I try GBPVR.exe or Config.exe I get the error messages and I don't get into GBPVR. Can you think of anything I could try? I've re-installed GBPVR and dotnetfx. I can't think what else to do.

Does it give this error immediately when you click config.exe or gbpvr.exe? If so, then it sounds like you've broken something else, as the BDA devices are not used until much later.

Does it still produce new config.exe.log/config.exe-native.log files when you try to run config.exe? or does it not even get that far?

Just produces new config.exe.log but not Config.exe-native.log. The result of config.exe.log is as the file attached in my last message. I haven't made any other system changes. Seems to get stuck at "configurationFile is config.xml" in config.exe.log

I think I'm getting somewhere now. I renamed my config.xml and copied config-master.dont-edit-me.xml to be the new config.xml. config.exe loads now, so I guess I've screwed up config.xml somehow. I'll report back when I've found what it was.

Nope, I give up. I've gone through line by line replacing the differences between my config.xml and the default one, but nothing seemed to work. So I've put the default one in instead and set up all my prefs again. Not sure if I dare try adding the Nova S as a capture source now Undecided Guess it should work though now I've got the TT drivers & s/ware.
