A while back I posted that GBPVR would crash after waking from standby. I decided to use hibernate instead, and it is no longer crashing, but now whenever I wake from hibernate, it will take an average of 8 minutes from the time i hit Live TV to when it will actually go to Live TV. Same thing happens when I hit watch from the TV Guide menu. All other aspects of the program run fine, including watching recorded shows, etc.

Any idea what is going on? The only way to fix it, is to restart the computer. Restarting the program or the recording service doesn't help.

Is it only gbpvr that is slow? Do you have any process that runs on high CPU power after the wakeup?

it's only gbpvr that runs slow, and specifically it is the live tv function. Browsing through the menus and playing recordings works just fine. It is when I want to watch some tv that it takes FOREVER for the program to work.

well it's been a couple weeks and the slow Live TV after waking from hiberate is still annoying the heck out of me. I checked the system performance and the CPU usage is only at around 17% during the time when GBPVR hangs. All other programs work at normal speed.

It's getting really annoying having to restart the computer everytime I want to watch TV.

Anyone other insights or suggestions?

Hi dusadus,

Sorry I can't help but I wanted to know what kind of crash did you get when waking from standby? My one, if I read carefully said that the graphics card driver went into an infinite loop. Is it the same?

Thanks,

Hello all,

I've been out of touch with the forums for a while, and am still running the older version but I have just installed the latest nVidia drivers (ForceWare 81.98), and the problem got solved. The machine goes to standby properly, and wakes up like a charm.
