Problem installing GBPVR

Hello,

I get ther following message when trying to install the latest version of the app:

Error 1270. There is a problem with this windows installer package. A script required for this installer to complete could not be run. Contact your support personell or package vendor.


Has anyone come accross this before? I would be grateful for any help in resolving this.

By the way, i am running XP pro with Service pack 2.

Try downloading it again. Lots of others have installed it with out any problems.

I was able to install it previously, then I decided to do a bit of a cleanup on my system drive, and I guess I removed too much. I was just wondering if anyone might have known offhand what might have been missing to cause this message.

I guess I'll just have to go back to the backup image I made before I started trying to clean up.

Hi niih,

I've found the solution, i' ve had the same problem with installing and after some attempts to solve the problem. I found the solution and now works it fine.

First you have to install 'Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP' from the Microsoft site and than it works fine.
