Is it possible to turn off the on screen display? Because, for me, whenever it pops up it makes the video stutter and the sound to go out of sync. This only happens sometimes when I view recorded mpeg2 files, but almost always when I view divX or something similar. And it only happens when I view them through GB-PVR, if I use windows media player everything works perfect.

Slow machine?

Its not possible at this stage. You're better off placing this sort of request in the wishlist section.

Edit: Added minor where it should have been from the beginning

Mmm... VIA EPIA M10000N. But that's the only thing it can't handle.

Anyway, it's just a minor anoyance. I can still record with GB-PVR in the background and watch a movie in windows media player in the foreground.

have you tried changing it off of VMR9 to 7 or even Overlay Manager?

In hind sight, I realise the Microsoft GDI+ graphics library possibly wasnt the best tool to use for doing all the menu screens and OSD. For the most part this library is pretty good, but it does require a fair amount of CPU when rendering, which can cause the occasional hickup on slow machines.

Effectively there isn't enough CPU to decode DivX and display OSD.

I may be wrong but I don't think the graphic drivers for the built in graphic card on the VIA EPIA supports VMR9. I'm using overlay bevause I had some realy strange graphical problems while watching some DVDs when I used VMR7.
