All kidding aside you did figure out how to "uncheck" un-wanted plugins right? You need to click on the item first then un-check the check box. I had the same problem the first time I loaded up a non-included plugin. Hell when I tried to make my first submenu I couldn't figure out how to rename the submenu so I had to edit the config.xml. Talk about a hard way to get something done.
