Will give that a try also...thanks for the tip. Ive been over on the MusicLIbrary2 Thread and that looks like an interesting music plugin as well...but in an effort of comparison, I will try to fix this one first and let you know how it goes. I'm betting it's a skin issue...Thanks.

Ok, changed over to the default 'blue' skin and now I can at least get to the screen where it sais 'loading album list'...although from there, nothing happens. If I hit the right arrow for song list it gives me the following error:

I'll take a look at it tonight. How large is your collection of albums? In the configuration screen, did you set the parameter for how long to wait before displaying the songs?

This plugin will traverse the complete directory(s) of musice before displaying anything. It really is not the best for very large collections. I have about 50 albums in my collection which works very well but obviously, I am not a big collector. Also, can you tell me how the directories are organized?

Hmm - actually paulg, although you probably hadn't planned on doing any more work on this, how easy would it be to jump down the list to a certain letter/percentage? It's just that I have over 600 albums, and it takes me a while to page-down to some of the later ones. (Or if you could change it so that going "up" at the start of the album list takes you to the end?)

adding keyboard navigation shortcuts is pretty easy. Let me see if I can squeeze some time in to try something and I will post it.

I have a large collection, but for testing purposes I am pointing the config to a directory of only 5 albums.

I hadn't, so I set this to 5 and now it seems to work. Thanks for your help. In total I have 631 Albums, so I'm beginning to think this plugin is not suited for me...unfortunately.

Paul don't know if you are still doing any work on this but when i try to play a track i get this error.

"Unable to create Hook."

I'm also running musiclibrary ii, but no music was playing.

I'm running 95.16, using contourhc skin with musicalbums folder copied into it. I even tried replacing the skin.xml file with the recent one posted here.

Any help would be great.

Can any one help ( Paulg if your able to you'll be a star ). For ref I fixed the above... it was an error in the skin file.

I simply changed it toa specific but I could have done ..\..\ etc any way.... here it is:-

Any way - the following is from config.xml

Problem is I get the message "Error: The given paths format is not supported" - I'm guessing this is a bug due to the dir name and if it was say c:\Music I'd have no problem so.... can some one help me ? MusicAlbums 1 & 2 seem to be the only decent plugin for music where by I just want to play a recursive dir which no fancy db etc and be able to skip ( I've tried most of the others )....

I'm unable to change the dir as I have serveral other apps and systems around the house that depend on these dirs.

Hopefully I'm posting in the right area. I installed the plugin and really like it, except I have a lot of mp3 albums with playlist in each, well when I go to configure the second options seems to indicate that I can have the software ignore playlists, but it keeps showing playlists and folder albums. It's kind of annoying having both showing and didn't want to delete each playlist file in each folder.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
