I just got my PVR up and running and tried watching a couple of our first recorded TV shows. I'm having the following problems:

  1. Let's say I want to fast forward through 20 minutes of a show, how do I do this with MVP and the Hauppauge remote? Is there a way to do this like a DVD player works with the fast forward while playing feature?
  2. I've noticed that the remote allows me to skip forward 30 or 60 seconds with each push of the button - however, this function seems to quit working after using the pause button. Anybody else seen this? I'll try to pay attention more carefully to when exactly it happens.

Cheers,

1. You can skip forward or back a specific number of minutes by entering the number on the remote, then pressing Skip (fwd) or Replay (back). So to skip forward 20 minutes, press "2" then "0" then "Skip".

2. You cannot skip while paused. Press "Play", wait a second, then try again.

Press the numbers "20" then the skip button. The skip buttons without pressing numbers is configurable in the gbpvr config and default to 60 forward and 30 backward.

AOSandman - I was able to skip while in pause, no problem. Maybe it depends on the decoder used? I had never had a problem when I pressed skip fwd/back during pause. Even the still image got updated. This was true for InterVideo codec, nVidia PureVideo decoder and Nero Video Decoder.

I have a MVP, with Haup 150 and the lastest version of GBPVR and all the assorted drivers. Windows 2000 pro.

All works great for picture, play etc. But when I FFD on the MVP it always skips forward about 10 sec of play time when I stop the FFD. A few versions of GBPVR ago this did not happen.

Can anyone tell me if this stop delay is configurable. Ideally I would like it to skip backwards around 5 seconds to account for reaction time.
