Sudden problem recording 2 shows

After having problems setting up my 500mce, which has worked fine the last 2 weeks, I suddenly get 1 empty (zero file size) recording while recording 2 shows at one time. Checking the status while they were both recording it did show each were recording but only 1 did. During the recording, each shows directory was created but only 1 show a file with a changing file size.
I know I've seen something similar to this before but a forum search didn't seem to find the same problem. Does anyone have a suggestion to check this?

I updated both EPG's and it seems to be working however, the EPG's weren't empty so I don't know if that did anything to fix the problem. It doesn't seem to happen all the time but about 20% of the time
