Would this be possible to set up recordings from outside of network?? Watching recordings?? Like my ip changes alot so i dont knwo if i could make a zachgbpvr.no-ip.com thing.....Could i just use my ip like 12.*********:7647etc.........I've tried that in network but nope...

Assuming you dont have a firewall stopping it, then yes you can schedule recordings etc from outside the network.

Yes, you can access the web interface from outside if you set everything up right. First get it working internally. Then just config your router to forward the port to the internal IP address of your GBPVR box.

As long as you know your IP, and your firewall/router is setup correctly, this works very well Smile As AOSandman said, my router is set to forward port 7647 to my PC's (fixed) LAN IP, and I can access the web GUI from almost anywhere (including my phone, which is handy!) I have got a fixed internet IP, which makes things a bit simpler.

I don't know if watching a recording would work very well - I've never used this feature, but I guess the bitrate of a GB-PVR recording is going to exceed your internet connection speed by quite a margin!

With dynamic IP, just use DynDNS (http://www.dyndns.com). It's free and many routers support it natively. I set up a DNS alias with them, as well as a "webhop" so I don't even have to remember the port number or URL string.
