Can you run this command in the gbpvr directory from a command prompt and send me the recording.log? The contents of the priorityrecordings.xml would be useful too.

PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log

I tried to add new sources and delete my old ones so my capture sources don't start at 1 and the priorityrecording.exe still finds the correct source number.

Worst case you could send me your gbpvr.mdb and priorityrecordings.xml and I should be able to reproduce the problem. I'll PM you my email address.

I've just had a very catastrophic failure with the system. I hoped that upgrading to 97.9 would fix it but it went into another circle of events where it looks like the latest priorityrecording is still in 1.1. I also ended up losing my gbpvr.mdb (I have a backup but I've no clue how to extract the records from there to the new database, if someone has any idea I'd love to hear).
I can try to reproduce the error, it shouldn't be hard to do so. Give me a few days.

Here's the post that I sent incorrectly to the gbpvr announcements instead of this group:
========================================================
PriorityRecording.exe is not running in 97.9. It works with 96.12 (from where I upgraded). It looks like PriorityRecordings is still looking at DotNet 1.1 while 97.9 is looking at 2.0 (I think). here are the errors:

Well, this issue can be closed I suppose. I had to reinstall nearly everything (and still having severe issues) and at some point I deleted a capture source and added another and priority recording worked in tracking the correct number of the source instead of defaulting to 1 and 2.
I am not sure what therefore was happening, maybe gbpvr database as I had it was screwed up? I don't know, anyhow this can be closed as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for all the help

I have a similar problem with xrecord. if i rund the scheduler (or when it runs automatically) it throws up the priority recording error and never records. anything that is set to record from the standard guide is fine but if I attempt to record through x recoord and scheduler then it throws a wobbly. I have the most uptodate version of gbpvr and xrecord, I have reinstalled both 5 times and to no avail, still the priority recording error. changing the capure source makes no difference whether it unspecified or choosing number one which is my nova bda device (the only tuner I have) I am at a loss as to whether it is a bug or whether it is my system. it worked fine before upgrading but hasn't worked since the upgarde. I have tried reinstalling the capture device in gbpvr and remapping all the channels but still the error pops up (when I run cdk or the error is showing in the mornings, i presume after the epg update. ) anybody have a similar problem or is it just me. Thanks in advance everyone, what a great bit of software we have here.

CDK Scheduler needs to be recompiled under .NET 2.0. Unfortunately, I do NOT have time to devote to doing this at this time. It is on the to do list, but for now CDK Scheduler is only supported under 0.96.

Unfortunately, when Jorm released the 97.x version of XRecord, he did not recompile the CDK Scheduler as well.

CDK Scheduler's wiki entry states that it may not work under 97 and .NET 2.0.

I am not sure what are all the things I did, but I've got the priorityrecordings working with gbpvr. I'll take a look at what I did. It might be that I have both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 coexisting. I'll update this post after I get home, maybe it might help you.

okay, mine's not working either ..hehehe .. sorry .. at some point I thought I had it working but I must have goofed (because there's a bunch of pending recordings, I sort of assumed.. )
