always error in config.exe

Hi,

I'm trying to run gbpvr with a hauppauge pvr 350. I have the recent MS.NET framework installed.
However, everytime I want to end the configuration dialog by clicking on OK, the following happens:
- restarting the recording service
- (waiting for 10 seconds)
- and then, the following error message, with the option to continue the config, or quit.

an unhandled exception.... couldn't get process information from remote machine!

I have found a solution: update to the latest hauppauge drivers. that's it.
I was scared by the complexity of the solution you have pointed me to, so I began looking elsewhere on my system, and figured I didn't have the latest drivers. Then, the problem went away.
