No terrestrial reception

I have no access to a terrestrial TV signal and so rely on Sky for all TV. Do any of the supported TV cards change the sky channel for recording or will I have to do it manually.

Lots of the supported cards will do it, depending on what set top box you have, and what accessories come with the card.
Minimum you'll need is an IR blaster, which is configured to change the channels on the STB through gbpvr, and a remote with receiver.
