Hauppage remote control stopped working

My remote stopped working. It works occasionally now. I tried re-installing GBPVR, and it doesn't work still.

It seems to be working outside of GBPVR - I can press the Go button and I get the choice between WinTV2k and WinTV32. And I can press the Menu button and get the Task switcher in Windows.

Any ideas? Thanks...

Are you sure GB-PVR is the active application ? It won't work when GB-PVR is behind an other window.
Did you activate the option "Use direct access to Hauppauge remote" in the config app ? when you have this option checked you can quit ir.exe and GB-PVR should be controllable via the remote.

Yes, GBPVR is the active app. I tried running IR, checking the "use direct access" box, not running IR and having it checked. Remote control seems to work intermittently.

If you open the hauppauge file irremote.ini, does it contain the GB-PVR settings? There should be a whole section with GB-PVR keystrokes.

No idea if this is a related issue, but with the latest version (227) my remote stops working after a few key presses if the Hauppauge ir utility is running (even updated to one from shspvr.com, didn't help).

My remote works fine if I turn off the hauppauge IR app and have GBPVR access the remote directly, but would rather go the other way since then I can start GBPVR with the remote (as well as control it once it has started).
