Quote:I use the one simply labled "Videos". This is part of the Video Archive plug in (yes I've upgraded that to the newer version too). It's the only way I could add a video without parsing an XML file and using config. Simply dragging and dropping them was pretty easy (for my 12 yr old).
I suggest you post that question in the 'plugin and skin support' forum. This is not something I can help you with. Its probably just a change in the author has made in the most recent version.

Quote:Unfortunately because it doesn't work I'll just have to use the default application that comes with the MVP player now.. I mean -- when I attempt to watch a video using the MVP player, I still get a black screen and have to restart it several times before it will start playing..
Did you try my two suggestions above? Was it related to UNC paths?

Yep, I've tried removing all the DLL files, and also reset the UNC paths to normal paths, restarting everything -- including unplugging / replugging the MVP player without any improved results.... I was really hoping that was it...

Perhaps someone will pop up with the same problem but are able to troubleshoot it a little better than me...

Thanks,
Shannon

Can you try playing a file off a local drive, then post your gbpvr.exe.log so I can take a look?

For the video archiver part, if you open a new thread in the plug-in support area we can work on that problem. Posting the log files in your jeff directory would be a great start. Two other things to try.

1. If you press F11 (GO on the remote) it will rebuild the list of files. This should find the files that we dragged and dropped.

2. I think this was a bug that I have fixed (at least I think it is fixed). There is a test version of the plug-in DLL posted at http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=112353 that you try.
