Hi
I'm gettiing the problem where my pvr150's remote just stops working. I've searched the forum and it seems to be a pretty common problem. But it's funny in that it's usually only the play control and navigation control buttons that stop. The volume and mute buttons still work.
Sometimes I have to reboot the machine before it will work again. Restarting IR isn't enough. I'm running the new 98.8 release, but it's been happening for a few versions now. I reinstalled my remote software and card drivers about a month ago from the haupphage website, but it had been happening before that too.
There are times switching applications to explorer and then alt-tabbing back to GBPVR (running full screen) will restore the faulty buttons back to operability. It won't always fix it.
I have noticed that my hard drive light is really processing hard about the time it stops working, and I suspect that comskip is firing up (or some other gbpvr-related process) and somehow stealing the application focus, even though GB is running full screen still. This would explain how alt-tabbing would restore the focus and thus make the remote software work again.
This thread (LINK) seems to have some more information, though it's only helped about 50% of the prople having troubles, by the looks.
Is there a setting I can make to my config or such so that any processes and batches fired by GBPVR happen as background tasks that don't have focus?
