help! my capture sources were deleted somehow! everything else is working fine, haven't had any crashes, and when i rebooted today, the capture sources were'nt there anymore! just blank..
Sub, where are the capture sources info retained? in config.xml? registry?
or is it in the database?
[just looking for a way to restore them without messing up too much else]

also,if i export the recording dump in this state, will it be a valid file?
[with no rec sources re-setup yet]
been a long time since i was a supportEE intead of a supportER..hehe
[just shows how reliable this proggy is] Smile
thanx

after looking at the database, i see the capture sources in there, but they'r enow set to the wrotng 'type' as i was using the software recorder on another machine, and i was testing that machine as a client to this one...
but apparently when i unchecked the 'client mode' on config, it set my 'server' machine's cap sources to what was previously on the client!
i should have just exited config to save config then went and edited the cap sources after...
i'm assuming the connect strings were still set to the server, since i hadn't restarted, so when i changed cap sources,it was changing the server's cap sources..Sad

Sub,might wanna like force a restart of rec. service or something when unchecking the 'client mode' box in config...[checking it should be ok]
i'm going to try to manually set them back and see if that works without losing all my schedules..
