I'm almost certain that the answer to this question is going to be: "Don't use Vista", but I figured I'd give it a try anyway:
I'm using Windows Vista build 5728 (post RC1), and GBPVR seems to work just fine after disabling the new permissions mechanism. I'm having trouble getting my MVPs to work though. They conenct just fine and display the GBPVR main menu, but after about 30 seconds it loses the connection and goes right back to the "Contacting Servers..." screen.
Is it possible that the .NET framework 3.0 that Vista uses is incompatible with something in the MediaMVP server? Can I install .NET 2.0 over the top of .NET 3.0? Is this a known issue?
I've attached my logs, in case you're able to help
