Willing to bet no one has seen this problem before, it's truly bizarre!
The problem is playback of recordings off one channel only (BBC 1, set as channel 1 on my setup). What happens is that it seems to record just fine, and indeed while it's recording I can FF/RW within the file or pause it with no problems watching parts of it.
However, once the recording is finished something strange seems to happen to the file created, meaning that I can only FF or RW within the first 2 mins of the file. If I try to skip past about the 2 min mark, the file looks like it's still playing ie progress bar scrolls, HD seems to be accessing etc, but the picture freezes and the audio stops.
Jumping back through the file to within the first 2 mins means it starts playing again and usually I can let it run just fine to the end of the program, as long as I don't touch the pause, FF or RW buttons. Exactly the same behaviour is exhibited trying to playback in MP10 suggesting its a problem with the recording itself rather than the playback. And just to make it even odder, it only happens on this one channel.
I've tried turning off comskip for the channel but that didn't make a difference, and that was my one and only idea! Any help much appreciated as always. Logs attached with problem exhibited in the most recent file played "Friday night with Jonathan Ross"
