Never contacts server...

I have gbpvr 0.98.13 running (fresh install), autostarting 1 mvp server. When I fire up my MediaMVP, it shows teh status screen for contacting server, then goes to a black screen, and then back to the contacting server screen. This repeats endlessly. On my PC I have the attached MediaMVP GUI Server has encountered a problem error popup. Any ideas?

"MediaMVP GUI Server" isnt part of GB-PVR. Maybe you're still running the original Hauppauge software, or some other MVP software?

Hi, Whilst I'm a newbie to GB-PVR I'm almost certain that the MediaMVP GUI Server is part of the Hauppauge Media MVP Software as Sub has said. This either needs to be un-installed or the service stopped. Possibly worthwhile installing this software in the first instance to verify whether your Media MVPis working. Once verified working it's probably a good idea to uninstall. GB-PVR won't work with the Hauppauge Media MVP GUI Server running.

My Hauppauge MVP software was uninstalled. Unfortunately, after a reboot, the Hauppauge mvp services were still starting. I removed them and all is well now. Thanks sub and daviescr1.
