Hi All. Love this PVR software but have been having issues with it. I'm running v.98.13b and I'm constantly getting a .NET Runtime Exception. This happens at least every 3 - 4 days, sometimes multiple times per day. I'm using my Media MVP to communicate with the recording service. Any help is much appreciated!

The log file shows this exception:

This is covered in the sticky 'v0.98.13 survival guide' thread: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=2

You have a firewall app, and other app that monitors TCP/IP access, which is incompatible with .net 2.0. NOD32, Panda Antivirus, WebRunner and Net Limiter are known to cause this, but there may be others possibilities as well. The easiest fix is to uninstall said app, or with some you may be able to set an exclusion so it doesnt monitor GB-PVR, or you can contact the manufacture of said software and ask them to make it compatible with .net 2.0, or you can download the microsoft patch that works around the problem.

Appreciate the reply. I have disabled windows firewall on that machine and do not have another one installed. Possibly my antivirus software or something. I'll try the hotfix.

You can usually track down what software caused it by looking in the Windows Event Viewer. It'll normally list an error message for when GB-PVR crashed, which identifies the offending DLL. Doing a search for this DLL and viewing its properties will usually tell you the manufacturer.
