wintv usb2 pvr2: can't control file size; wrong stations

Trying to install pvr2 on another computer. using gbpvr 0.99.5.

I tried this morning to record channel 34 for 3 minutes. Then cancelled. Then tried to record channel 4. However, it recorded another channel (didn't record channel 4).
Tried Channel 7 ( i think..forgot which one) and it recorded a different channel (not channel 7).

closed gbpvr. restarted. and now able to record correct channels.

Another note, I tried setting 352x480 vbr 2500-3000. however, all my recordings are at about 5000kbps 720x480.

Try editing direct.ini and setting INIT_MODE=IVAC in the PVR2 USB2 section.

changing from DEFAULT -> IVAC under wintv pvr2 usb2 enabled me to record at 352x480 w/ vbr.

what does IVAC do vs default?

It just tries to initialise the device a different way.
