Dish Network 322 problem (seems easy)

Basically, defualt the stb goes into a screensaver mode where it says "Press Select to continue". This is the second time that it recorded only that.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Look at senorpyro's recommendation near the bottom about setting a VCR job.
