No.

Snow/static also tells us its the right device number, and that all the correct component have hooked up correctly. Its most likely now down to the selected country, tuning type (cable/antenna) and the channel number.

Which country are you in, and where are you trying to tune channels from (antenna, cable or set top box)?

Also I have had this card working with GBPVR but only when the other card is not in the computer.

Have you been able to confirm that both devices are in a functioning state? I'm wondering whether a ATI550 doesnt like to be in the same machine as a 650. Maybe some driver limitation or something.

I can get it working in the Catalyst Media Center. Unfortunately that thing tends to be a major resource hog. Not to mention the EPG doesn't work very well

I'm not really sure. Your GB-PVR setup sounds correct, and the logs look ok. Given you're getting static, it sounds like GB-PVR has managed to hook everything up ok, but the either (1) you dont have valid cable signal connected to the device, or (2) the device or its drivers are choosing to ignore the requested attempts to tune a specific station (and staying on some other random frequency).

Is there anyway to check what GB-PVR is trying to use?

With the current setup I've even gone and moved the cable coard to each of the available plugs and both cards to see if I can get anything, and nothing changes not even a flicker difference in the static.

Also it doesn't appear that GB-PVR is changing stations when I try to have it setup with the ATI 550. It says channels are changing but the static never dims such as it does when I switch stations on the ATI650 if the cable is unplugged.

One last thought, when I select tuners from within the config and check off show only devices detected on machine, it only lists ATI Theatre 550 Pro, ATI Theatre 650 Pro, and ATI TV Wonder Elite. This happens to be the same as it would display with only one of the cards installed.

I haven't read the entire thread, but did you add the 550 or the 650? I've found that a Happauge PVR150 works fine with an ATI650 in the machine. That might be an option for you, if you want to add tuners.

It sounds like you've tried the cards one at a time, correct?

Oh, and I will say, when I added the additional cards, it found the new channels, but for some reason mapped them incorrectly. When you go into the properties of the tuner, look to see that the identification on the left matches the channel on the right. If that doesn't make sense, I'll post a screen-shot this evening. For example, on the ATI650 (the first card I installed) it showed 13 KERA and said channel 13 to the right, but the PVR150 said 13 KERA and showed channel 110 to the right. I changed the channel to 13 and all is good.

The channels appear to map fine (Both cards receive the same cable signal). I'm wondering if there is a way to check which slots in the motherboard GBPVR is using when accessing a card? My ATI550 is in a PCIe slot while the ATi650 is in a standard PCI slot.

Also I now have both cards working together in two other programs Catalyst Media Center and Media Portal, so I'm sure that they can work together. I would just rather not have to switch between programs in order to use the other card.
