I was out at the store and ended up picking up a Logitech RumblePad 2 wireless gamepad. I couldn't find the xbox to usb adapter in a couple of stores and since they are really cheap on ebay I didn't go the build route. Think I'll order one on ebay and compare how the xbox wireless works vs the Rumblepad 2.
