I have some glitch during recording. The result appear to be choppy video, it like a fast fwd. Sad

Sub suggest to upgrade PVR-150 driver, but I don't have success with that.

Quote form Sub: "The data that comes out of the PVR150 is written straight to disk without GB-PVR doing any processing on that data. GB-PVR doesn't know anything about the contents of that data at recording time."

After this comment from Sub, I tried some program to test writing speed of my hard drive. Surprise, system of my friend, have a writing speed about 35 MB / sec and mine have only 12 MB / sec

Problem solve with the option "activate writing cache on the disk" under strategy tab of hard drive propriety. (Friend system have this flag, but not mine...) now I have writing speed about 35 MB /sec
Smile

My brother have a Nvidia Raid 5 with 4 SATA drive. The option "activate writing cache on the disk" does not exist for this raid hard drive.
The writing speed is about 10 MB /sec.

Sub, could you tell me if it is possible when you write data to the disk, the write not write all data ???

I not have your ability in programming but I know write function return the number of bytes really written, do you test this return value ???

Maybe it is possible ?

Thank Sub

Unfortunately a write error isnt logged anyway. This particular component hasnt been changed in three years though, and has worked reliably. Thats not to say your machine is keeping up though, so it certainly could be your problem.

Maybe try defragging your disks as well.
