Hello everyone,
I'm building my first htpc using GB-PVR 99.12 including the following parts;
Asus P5W DH Deluxe, C2D 6400, 2 Gig Kingston RAM, 2 x Blackgold dual BDA version tuner cards, Nvidea Quadro 540, Xcard (Sub, can you remember these?) + SDI output card.
I have had all the hardware installed and loaded all drivers OK.
Only software installed are Windows XP Pro, .Net 2, GB-PVR, PowerDVD Ultra, Nero 7.
Whenever I go to either watch live TV or view a recorded TV programme the system crashes and reboots. The EPG guide works OK and I can set recordings, and these appear in the recordings section, but I just can't play them!
The system plays DVD's and files from the Video library (ripped DVD's) fine (after changing the quartz.dll) via both the graphics card and Xcard.
The tuner cards were not listed in the BDA.ini so I used graphedit and found the filters, changed the BDA.ini file. Once this was done the card (removed one now) was recognised and searched for channels, loads found.
No pluggins are loaded.
At the minute I have the EPG set as DVB since I haven't got the pc networked onto the web yet.
I'm sure it could be something simple, I just don't know what.
As a side issue, I was steered to the Xcard & GB-PVR because I wanted SDI out for my video processor (DVDO HD+) but searching due to this problem I've come across comments saying that the Xcard outputs the wrong polarity for the HD+. Does anyone know of another SDI output arrangement for a PC?
