Hi,

First off a big thanks for GBPVR - I've had a Freecom DVB-T for a year and never managed to get it running before. I've now installed it on a Vista laptop with the latest BDA drivers from Freecom and it works almost perfectly - the only issue is that sometimes the picture doesn't stretch to fit the window. Restarting GBPVR usually fixes it - any ideas?

Also, is there a way to select a channel directly rather than having to go through them all?

My main problem however is on my XP Desktop (AMD x2 3800+, GeForce 6200). I've installed the latest BDA drivers for XP from Freecom and set everything up in config. It scans through and detects all channels and shows a preview in the scan dialogue. Unfortunately, when I run GBPVR and select Live TV, I just get a black screen and no sound.

Thanks.

the first ports of call to fix a black Live TV would be the decoder section of the config, on the playback tab. try setting the decoders to something other than 'system default' and also experiment with the rendering method (Overlay/vmr7/vmr9/vmr9 custom)

Thanks - I'm getting somewhere, but it's acting strangely.

I managed to get it working using "vmr9 fullscreen exclusive" with the default decoder, but the picture broke up and it hasn't worked since! Now it's showing a full strength signal with zero quality!

If I go to map the channels, I can preview them for a while, but it breaks up there too after a short while.

I've just installed the demo of TotalMedia3 and it works flawlessly - but that's $79 just to watch tv. Freecom have been useless from the start - I never managed to get it working with their original drivers and player.

I'll keep trying a few things, but if anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.

I just rolled my system back, reinstalled the Freecom BDA drivers and GBPVR, but now config is hanging when I scan for channels. It looks like it's working - usually up until it says "Scanning 4 of 7", but sometimes hangs at 3 or 5. When it hangs, it reports both a signal strength and quality of 0. I notice that the green led on the DVB-T goes green and stays green (it flashes whilst the scan is working ok).

I kept trying the scan and finally managed to get through to the end. Config detects all the UK Freeview channels but only previews the sky channels. Similarly, the player only plays the SKY channels too. All other channels come back with signal strength/quality of 0 again.
