I'd like to use an MCE remote with GBPVR on one display, while also using windows and a keyboard on another display.

After plugging in the MCE IR receiver (and noticing a ton of drivers being installed, including a "keyboard" driver), the MCE remote only controls GBPVR when GBPVR is in focus. I see that it uses keyboard commands, because it controls other stuff on the desktop.

Is there any way to make the remote+GBPVR work independent of everything else in windows, like the keyboard and what window is currently in focus?

Thanks gentlepersons!

There is no built in mechanism for using the remote to control GB-PVR when it doesnt havnt focus. As stustunz says, you'd need to look at something like HIP if you need this. I think Girder and EventGhost are other utilities that could be used for this.
