more epg issues with Schedules direct and 1.0.16

Help... Upgraded to 1.16 from 0.9x, run the MS .exe update, copied the new BackendCommon.dll to the main GbPVR directory (twice), rebooted too. I set my epg to SchedulesDirect, but I get the attached error when I hit "Update EPG in the config app. (jpg screen capture) and the config output is below "The remote name could not be resolved",

Any ideas much appreciated. Thank you.

Make sure you stop the gbpvr tray icon and stop gbpvr recording service before applying the patch, that's how I had to do it.

OK thanks. I just killed both tray and recording service, run the the MS patch and copied the .dll again (it was the same size 316KB, Aug 20 2007). I still get the same error.

Don't run the installer after stopping the service and closing the tray app. The installer starts the services when it icompletes.

Steps:
[list=1[*]Close the tray icon.
[*]Run devnz\gbpvr\stop.bat to stop the recording service.
[*]Extract new GbpvrBackendCommon.dll to devnz\gbpvr\
[*]Run Config to download EPG.[/list]

Thank you for the replies. I did as you said, a few times. The first time, the tray and the recording service were not running aleady since I had killed them. stop.bat said something about the service not running. Copied the dll again, same error.

This time I rebooted, killed GBPVR.exe, killed the tray, ran the stop.bat (it said the service was stopped), copied the dll again (again,Windows says it's the same file 316kb, August 20), anyway, go ahead and overwrite.

Same error, logs and screen capture attached.

Any other ideas are very welcome, because I am a little stuck.:confused:

You are now successfully patched. "Error 500" is a different error. This is usually caused by not having created a lineup on your SD account.

Schedules Durect has a message about a "TMS Auth Failure". Can this be my problem? Because I log into my account and I don't see a lineup anywhere, nor where to pay either. My address and location are fine. I have 2 days left of the free trial. Seriously, I have clicked on all the kinks I see. :confused:

It is a general failure, listings downloads succeed but any attempt to access one's lineup from schedulesdirect.org fails.

TMS started working on the problem at 5:20 pm EST, so far at 6:00 pm EST we have yet to get a status report back.

I see a lineup now, ran the epg update and it filled... 4 channels! At least it's a little progress...

Thanks for all the help. This is so frustrating, it's like chasing ghosts, you don't have a clue what is the problem.
