I installed DirectX9.0c and still missing module. I'm sure it's something simple I'm overlooking. Could it be because it's the Server version? I had GBPVR working on a 2000 box earlier on a different machine, but not the Server flavor. Recording services seem to be up and running but if I go to Config.exe it gives me the error. If I say OK to ignore the error all the boxes in config are blank and the drop-downs don't work.

To be honest, I dont know. I havnt used Windows 2000 for many years, and have never tested GB-PVR or any TV stuff on it.

I'm going to try a fresh download of 1.1.5. The version I was using on the other 2K box was probably around 0.9.0. If it doesn't work I can put it on a XP box but my Server is the beefier box and isn't doing much besides being a file server and DC. Thanks for the help Sub.

WMP9 and video driver update seemed to fix the issue. (Most likely WMP9 as the video driver was only a fractional version change)

Mine seems to work ok with win2000 - I had a similar error when using config. It pops up an exception box but still carries on working. I have learnt to do things like assigning channels in small steps, exit and reload often.
It seems more stable with .net 2.0 sp1 but that may be luck or other programs.

I have the same crash with 1.2.9

I did a clean install of 1.2.9, I also re-installed .NET 2 plus service pack 1. I'm running Windows XP Media Center 2005 with all fixed installed.
I have two MediaMVPs. The one is coming up fine. The PVRX2.exe for the second one constantly crashes. There is nothing in the GBPVR logs, the event viewer shows the following error:

EventType clr20r3, P1 pvrx2.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 39, P4 gbpvrpublic, P5 1.0.2978.22707, P6 47c35116, P7 33b, P8 e, P9 system.nullreferenceexception, P10 NIL.

What to do?

I'd try uninstalling, deleting the gbpvr directory, then reinstalling.

I already did that, same result. Even without any recording sources I have this problem.

If there is logs, then post them.

If there is no logs, then I'm guessing something is broken with your .net install or a problem with the runtime DLLs on your machine.

It seems to be working now after I re-installed it for the third time. I didn't re-install it after I re-installed .net and sp1, maybe that was the problem.
Thank you.
