Picture freezes when commercial starts/stops

Hi,
I have just started to use GB-PVR and so far it seems to be the best program. I have a HVR-3000 card and am using both DVB-T and DVB-S tuners. The problem I am having for the moment is that whenever a commercial starts or stops then the picture freezes but the sound is ok, to fix this I need to go back to the menu and start the channel again and then all is ok.
Any help to solve this would be much appreciated.

It's when watching live tv.

EDIT1: Found yesterday that about every 2-3minutes the picture freezes for a second or two and then comes back again.
Is this another problem or related to above?

EDIT2: New findings, these both problems don't happen for all channels, just some of them but I haven't seen any pattern yet.

EDIT3: Re. the problem when the picture freezes just for a second or two I heard that it might be caused by the MULTIDEC plugin?

I had this a while back (and still very occasionally now). I was told it's when broadcasters are lazy splicing the adverts in and the timecode for the video stream isn't consistent.
Try a different video decoder - some will handle this problem better than others. I'm using MPA and MPV and (IMO) they seem to be the most stable free ones, but there's been multiple discussions on the forums about the various codecs, so you should be able to look up several alternatives with a bit of searching.
