I have the GBPVR10105.msi installed. The GBPVR10209.msi didn't work well. I have an XP machine with plenty of horsepower, memory and video. When GBPVR loads it has the old icon in the tray and then swaps over to the new icon tray.

When the computer load, it either doesn't load the GBPVR recording service, or it shuts it down. I can use the tray icon to restart the recording serivce and everything is fine unless the machine is restarted.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I did sort of find a work around but it causes a small issue when loading the config.exe the first time after a reboot and then everything is ok.

The first thing you could do is go into services.msc, and find the recording service, one of the option will be to run as the local account, you may want to try that.

Or you can go into the gbpvr dir and copy the restart.bat onto your desktop.

then edit that file with notepad to keep the start part and erase the stop service line. Rename it to start.bat, and put it in a folder on your computer where you want it to be (Anywhere other than the gbpvr dir)

Then put a shortcut in the startup folder and it will run the bat file everytime the computer is restarted. This works for me and the only problem i get is an error the first time i open up config.exe to change something. As i rarely do this it hasnt bothered me and i am able to fix it, I have yet to miss a recording due to a power failure/restart of computer.

If anyone comes up with a reason why this is happening, and how to properly fix it then i would love to know too

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. Also check the Windows Event Viewer for any messages.

I cant see any signs of errors in there. It looks like the recording service has started fine.
