The filternames seem a bit funny on this device. Try updating the volar section of the bda.ini file to be:

[AVerMedia Volar DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=AVerMedia BDA Digital Tuner
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

OK...some progress...the channels mapped correctly after making those changes to the BDA ini file. But when I went to test this by watching live TV I could only view a bar which shows which channel I'm watching (inc station logo etc)....apart from that the screen was black. Any ideas??

Another message i'm getting on live tv is a message 'this channel is currently encrypted'

After some more random fiddling I could hear sound on just tv3....still no picture.

For the currently encrypted message, try running the reregisterfilters.bat.

For the black video, do you have an appropriate H.264 decoder installed, and selected on the playback tab? Most Freeview|HD users use the Cyberlink H.264 decoder.

Hmmm trying to run the reregisterfilters.bat gives me a "DllregisterServer failed" error 0x80070005 message for all the modules?? Seems to suggest I need admin privilages....but I'm set up as the admin so can't figure this one out?

Am researching the H.264 decoder issue, my options appearing in the playback tab tell me either system default or CoreAVC video decoder, no mention of cyberlinks h.264....will work on this and keep you updated (BTW I still have the native avermedia AverTv6 program installed...all digital channels are working but my CPU usage goes way up 60-75% causing jerky playback). Would this suggest I have the H.264 option on my machine? Graphics card is ATI Radeon 3650.

Should I uninstall Avermedia and keep only the drivers?

If you're on Vista you probably need to start command prompt with the right-mouse -> 'run as administrator' then change to the gb-pvr directory and run reregisterfilters.bat.

The CoreAVC decoder is known to have problems changing channels on DVB streams, so not great. The 'system default' decoder is most likely the CoreAVC decoder since you dont have any others installed. Try installing a trial of the Cyberlink PowerDVD8 Ultra or Deluxe.
