Just upgraded? to Vista after replacing some memory on my computer. I had QAM working under XP, but the channel scan is not picking anything up now that I'm running Vista.

I've searched the forum with no luck, and I'm about out of ideas. Attached are my logs if someone would be so kind as to help me out...

I should be getting about 7 clear QAM stations and 3 or 4 dozen encrypted channels showing up in the scan, based on my experience under XP.

Thanks!

Start a command prompt with right click -> 'run as administrator', change to the gbpvr directory, then run ReRegisterFilters.bat.

Sub,

I have done that, and now have it performing the scan again. Will let you know if it works.

On a related topic: Wow. You must have some kind of omnipresence on this forum because everytime I post a question (I'm reluctant to admit I've posted several), you always reply within minets. Incredible. there isn't a software company in the world offering the kind of support you are freely giving for GBPVR. Thank you.

On a UNrelated topic, do you live in New Zealand? Thought I saw that in another thread. I lived there for two years, spread out accross Wellington, Dunedin, Invercargill, and New Plymouth. Lovely country.

I work from home, and while writing software for my day job, I keep a browser open on GB-PVR forums and regularly hit the 'refresh' button to see if anything new come in. Its pretty easy to keep on top of things this way, and only needs a few minutes every hour or two. (less time than I'd spend around the water cooler or coffee machine in a regular office)

Sub,

It worked!! I don't know what re-registering those filters (whatever they are) did, but the scan is picking up channels now. Thanks a million!!
